Freedom Sentinel Consulting has an opening for a HR Generalist to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:
Job Duties:
- Assist HR leadership in benefits, administration, and employee onboarding and offboarding
- HRIS Data Entry with a high level of accuracy
- Support the planning and execution of the performance review process
- Assist with developing and maintaining the affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
- Participate in administrative staff meetings, attend other meetings and send action emails to relevant team members
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Understand where to locate policies and procedures to provide information to both employees and managers
- Assist with reporting or administrative duties as required
- Prepare new hire packets, filing, and other detailed work
Required Skills and Education:
- Extremely detail oriented and organized
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills, both orally and written
- Willingness to learn federal and state laws and practices pertaining to employment/labor including
Wage and Hour laws, regulations and best practices around human resources procedures
- Build relationships within various levels in the organization
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient in Excel and W ord
- Passion for employee engagement and driving organizational culture
- A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant work experience
Preferred Skills:
- A willingness to learn and grow their knowledge of employee and labor requirements
- Knowledge of ADP HRIS and Applicant Tracking System is preferred
